LATEST NEWS
Here you’ll find news stories and the latest updates about how our work is helping to improve animal welfare in our community and around the world.

BAN DOG MEAT TRADE
For many of us dogs are considered close companions. Yet dog meat trade remains rife in some countries where consumption of dogs is still widely accepted. Many of the dogs are held in abhorrent conditions whilst in captivity before being auctioned off at annual Dog Meat Festivals or sold to dog meat traders.

RESCUE
We offer support to dog rescue centres who make every effort to rehome dogs in their care. Many of dog rescue centres will offer comprehensive care to dogs who arrive at centres from a wide range of circumstances. Some dogs may be highly traumatised through neglect, abuse or have been abandoned on the streets. The dog rescue centres provide the essential care to ensure all the dogs are looked after. In some cases, the dogs are rehabilitated to recover from the abuse suffered and are eventually able to trust people again. Dogs in their care are provided with veterinary treatment, food and shelter. The dog rescue centres are dedicated to rehoming animals and finding the right match for the puppies and dogs to provide them with a brighter future in their new homes.

ADVOCACY
Animal cruelty is rampant in many parts of the world where dog welfare is less of a legislative priority. Advocate to promote good animal welfare practice and campaign to raise awareness of the suffering of animals, especially dogs. Digital advocacy aims to highlight the plight of animal suffering and focus upon campaigning to alleviate their suffering. Only through working collectively to encourage compassion of animals can greater protection be fostered.
