For many of us dogs are considered close companions. Yet dog meat trade remains rife in some countries where consumption of dogs is still widely accepted. Many of the dogs are held in abhorrent conditions whilst in captivity before being auctioned off at annual Dog Meat Festivals or to sold to dog meat traders.
